City Scholars is open to undergraduate students with at least junior credit standing majoring in:
- Computer science
- CS + X
- Computer engineering
- Electrical engineering

- Application Deadline is Feb. 21, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.
- Accepted students may withdraw before rankings are submitted on April 14, 2024.

- Statement of Interest in the City Scholars Program (200 word limit)
- Applications are submitted online and the link will be posted on this website when the application is live.
Eligibility
- 3.2/4.0 GPA recommended
- Junior or senior standing
- CS and CS+X students should complete CS233 or CS340. If enrolled in a required course, you are eligible to apply.
- ECE students should complete ECE 210. If enrolled in a required course, you are eligible to apply.

| Apr. 14, 2024 | Deadline to Submit your rankings | Candidates rank all companies that they are interested in working at. Note: Companies have a later ranking deadline and may ask your to interview after you submit your rankings. Admitted Student Portal |

Matching Candidates with Corporate Partners
By submitting internship preferences, candidates agree to move to Chicago and work for any companies ranked. Matches will be chosen based on student and company preferences. To better understand the matching process, watch this video that describes a similar process.
Company matches will be announced 4 to 6 weeks after applications close. Candidates will be notified in time to register for classes.
A match is not guaranteed. Students are encouraged to rank as many companies as possible to maximize the chance of matching. For a match to occur, a candidate and a partner must rank each other or express mutual interest. City Scholars will hold multiple matching rounds to fill all positions.
